biography
Noel Adam Mosha is a young and promising tax lawyer whose practice is steadily developing within Tanzania’s evolving tax landscape. He joined B&E Ako Law in 2023 as a Law School student for his pupillage and has since dedicated his training and professional growth to the firm’s Tax Department.
From the outset, Noel quickly adapted to the demands of complex tax litigation and advisory work, demonstrating strong dedication, discipline, and a solid grasp of tax law. His commitment and performance led to his retention as an Associate Trainee in the Tax Department, and he subsequently progressed to the role of Associate within the firm’s tax team.
Noel is actively involved in representing and advising clients across a wide range of sectors, including banking and financial services, mining, telecommunications, oil and gas, manufacturing, insurance, gaming, and breweries, particularly in disputes and advisory matters involving the Tanzania Revenue Authority. His work spans Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing, Capital Gains Tax, PAYE, and Skill Development Levy, and he regularly contributes to high-value and technically complex matters before the Tax Revenue Appeals Board, the Tax Revenue Appeals Tribunal, and the Court of Appeal of Tanzania.
In addition to his professional training, Noel’s development as a lawyer has been significantly shaped by his participation in national, regional, and international moot court competitions. These experiences have strengthened his advocacy, confidence, and problem-solving skills, while enhancing his ability to think critically and perform under pressure. Through these platforms, he has built a strong professional network across jurisdictions, complemented by a substantial and engaged social media following that enhances his professional visibility.
Within the Tax Department, Noel stands out as an outlier, bringing youthful energy, intellectual curiosity, and a forward-looking mindset as he continues to learn from some of the leading tax practitioners in the country and forges his path toward becoming one of the leading practising tax lawyers of his generation.
