Norbert Mwaifwani

Norbert is a self-driven, enthusiastic, and ambitious tax lawyer with more than 7 years of experience of tax litigation and tax dispute resolution. He holds a master’s degree in Revenue Laws and Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam, a post graduate diploma in legal practice from the Law School of Tanzania, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Saint Augustine University of Tanzania. Norbert started his carrier with Ako Law in association with Clyde & Co in May 2016 as a junior associate.  In 2018 Norbert joined B&E Ako Law tax team as an associate and his passion for tax and dedication awarded him with a promotion to a Senior Associate position in a very short time.

As a Senior Associate Norbert handles and is highly involved in complex tax disputes – Transfer Pricing, Corporate Income Tax, Indirect taxes – for major clients in various sectors varying from mining, banking, manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, construction, and telecommunication. Norbert is also a licenced tax consultant. He is currently pursuing Advanced Diploma in International Taxation where he has completed (passed) one course – Energy Resources – International Taxation of Upstream Oil and Gas. Apart from being qualified to practice as an advocate in Mainland Tanzania, Norbert is also qualified to practice as an advocate in Tanzania Zanzibar which makes him a valuable team member for being able to represent clients in both Mainland and Zanzibar.
